They may brake easily and wont hold as good as if they were built in tight soil

I'm not an earthquake genius but I'm probably going to guess the house or bridge will blow away or get really badly damaged. (Most likely damaged pretty badly). It could also lose some debris (like the roof of a house) and cause damage to another house or object. Hope I helped and good luck with your assignment!
