-1/3

Use the formula m = y2-y1/ x2 - x1.
Substitute the x and y values and you'll get -1/3
Hello!

To calculate the slope of a line you use the following equation.

[tex] \frac{ y_{2}- y_{1} }{ x_{2}- x_{1} } [/tex]

The ones and twos just represent different points on the line. We will have (0,0) be ([tex] x_{1} , y_{1} [/tex]) and (6,-2) be ([tex] x_{2} , y_{2} [/tex])

Now we will plug these values into the equation.

[tex] \frac{-2-0}{6-0} = - \frac{2}{6} = -\frac{1}{3} [/tex]

The slope of our line is [tex]- \frac{1}{3} [/tex]

I hope this helps!
