There is a mixed message here, or there really are 2 messages. You could pick C as one of them and that's what I will do. The psychology of D may be true, but the Christmas Carol was years away from that idea being popular. E is true but it is not what the speaker was talking about. The problem is that B is also an answer. It is exactly what the old woman is saying at the beginning of her speech. A is true and it is a more general answer than Belle, which the old woman wouldn't know about. Pick A

It made all the difference in the world that Scrooge was willing to participate in whatever was going on. Pick the last sentence.

Three

Second and third and Last one I think are the three that you want.  They keep the command alive in both clauses.

Uriah Heep is one of the great characters in a long list of great characters that Dickens created. Anything Uriah says should be taken with a huge grain of salt except in this passage. I think I would pick the sentence that begins "We was to be umble to this person and humble to that ... . In my mind, you have to include the next sentence as well. It completes the thought. So you take your hat off to each of them because you had to be humble before them. And there were so many. And that's all Uriah was taught in that school. This conversation too place many years later.
