physics is technically a mathematics course not a physical science I believe.

Hello! I'm a fellow Physicist here, and would like to state a few facts... In Physical Science, we have four broad areas of study. Astronomy, Physics, Chemistry, and the Earth Sciences. While it's true that we use ALOT of math in Physics, we are taught early that Mathematics and all Sciences go hand in hand together. Math and Science are like best friends, and can't be separated without being sad and confused XD. So in conclusion, Physics is one of the four broad areas in Physical Science. So yes, in a sense they are the same.
