What was the "Double V" campaign?

The Double V campaign sought equal rights for African Americans thanks to their efforts during the war. Established by the Pittsburgh Courier, the constant oppression African Americans had endured made them eager to achieve change, freedom and equality. This campaign attempted to integrate African American population to an equal society. The campaign was the seed for the civil rights movement that helped to grant equality to African Americans.
