(a) THE MAIN AGRICULTURAL USES OF IRISH SOILS :

  • The soil of Ireland is very fertile so most of the land of Ireland is used for agriculture purpose.
  • The Irish soil is brown soil which is  mainly used for agriculture of wheat, sugarcane, oil seed, cotton etc
  • The another soil present in Ireland is peat soil which is mainly used for agriculture of legumes , this soil is less fertile as compared to brown soil.

(b) THE PRINCIPAL GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSION WHICH ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS :

As agriculture is done in very large amount in Ireland so it has great impact on green house gas  emissions.The agriculture is the main contributor of greenhouse gases in Ireland about 30% to 35% of greenhouse gases are emitted by agriculture only
