1) A bacterial cell is viewed under a microscope. It doubles every 20 seconds. Which method of reproduction is most likely being viewed?
A) Binary fission
B) Conjugation
C) Diffusion
D) Thermoregulation

2) The shell of an egg is removed, exposing its membrane. It is placed in water and allowed to sit for 24 hours. After this time, it has enlarged to twice its original size. What occurred to change the size of the egg overnight?
A) Water moved by active transport from lower concentration to higher concentration.
B) Water moved by active transport from higher concentration to lower concentration.
C) Water moved by osmosis from lower concentration to higher concentration.
D) Water moved by osmosis from higher concentration to lower concentration.

3) A certain type of bacteria is determined to have become resistant to antibiotics. In which method of genetic transfer did the bacterial cells most likely engage in order to transfer the antibiotic resistant gene to other cells?
A) Binary fission
B) Conjugation
C) Diffusion
D) Thermoregulation

Plz help me with those three questions. 40 points and will mark you the brainliest whoever give all three answers first and they have to be correct plz. Thank you. Hope someone can help me.

Respuesta :

A, C, B should be the correct answers
The answer for the first question its going to be A, because its the one that use less time to occur, diffusion is a process that does not involve reproduction, nor thermoregulation bcs it has to b with homeostasis, not with reproduction, and its fastest to make binary fission than find someone to make conjugation.

If I’m not wrong the answer 2 the second one its C, because water moves by osmosis and the concentration gradient of this process always move in a high to low direction.

The answer for the third question it’s conjugation, because the bacteria need to mate to make the genetic material exchange, and its the only option an process that make them able to do that.
