The rising and ascending of the sun are independent and the seasons on the earth are dependent on the sun's angle of inclination and latitudinal longitudinal extent of the earth. The equator zone gets most of daylight and sunlight and insolation hence it's known as the doldrum region of calm winds.
The places on the plus get slanting sun rays thus nor sufficient sunlight and sunset quickly below the horizon and hence have a cycle of 5.5 months. Places in between get an adequate amount of sunlight and have the temperate or subtropical type of climate.
Either too cold nor too hot hence these regions have equitable climates, but not forever as the pressure belts of the earth moves the high to low and again from low to high altitudes. Thus causing equinoxes and rotation along with the axial tilt of the earth is also responsible for the direct impact on seasons.
