Alfred Thayer Mahan, the chief spokesperson of the imperialist era, is a maritime strategist and president of the United States Naval School, author of the book "The Influence Of Sea Power Upon History" in which he wrote: Whoever rules the waves rules the world.
According to Alfred, the United States must become one of the most important naval forces, helping the country win wars and become a global power. He supported political, economic and moral imperialism. As Alfred said, they are led by naval forces that aimed to strengthen the US economy and raised fear of political forces.
