Raise the fraction to the highest term 1/5 to 15ths is [tex]\frac{3}{15}[/tex]

Solution:

Given that we have to raise the fraction to the highest term 1/5 to 15ths

To raise a fraction to higher term, first you divide the larger denominator by them smaller denominator

Then multiply both the numerator and denominator by the same number, as a result that will give a new denominator.

Let "x" be the numerator of new fraction

[tex]\frac{1}{5} = \frac{x}{15}[/tex]

To make the denominator 5 to 15 we have to multiply both numerator and denominator by 3

[tex]\frac{1 \times 3}{5 \times 3} = \frac{3}{15}[/tex]
