It is comprised of Gastrointestinal Tract called a GI tract or digestive tract and the liver, pancreas and gall bladder.
Certain hollow organs make up the GI tract are the mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, and anus.
The digestion process takes place in the digestive system by transferring food particles to the GI tract. It begins in the mouth with chewing and ends in the small intestine.
As it passes through GI tract it mixes with digestive juices causing large molecules of food to break down into small food molecules.
