The plants which has the nodule possesses a bacteria called Rhizobium which helps in the fixation of nitrogen to the soil and the relationship is a symbiotic one. When the Bacteria fixes the nitrogen into the soil the plants with the nodule has the advantage of nitrogen uptake in the soil before the ones who don’t possess the nodules.
