Hey people, I have a question:
DNA replication is more accurate than transcription, which is in turn more accurate than translation. Can you please enlighten me on the reasons and if possible what are the mechanisms involved which are responsible for the accuracy of each one of those processes.

Respuesta :

Transcription is much less accurate than replication in which the  errors can be limited up to 10^4. This is because protein synthesis by itself can permit large errors. During transcription, RNA polymerase must unpair DNA upon reading.
