Seven people went to the movies. The number of adults was one more than the number of children. Write a system of equations that represents the number of adults and children. Solve the system algebraically. Interpret the solution. Please help and show your work please and thank you.

Y= adults

y = x + 1
x + y = 7

x + (x+1) = 7
x + x + 1 = 7
2x + 1 = 7
2x = 7 - 1
2x = 6
x = 6/2
x = 3

y = x + 1
y = 3 + 1
y = 4

The number of children is 3 and the adults are 4.
