On the other hand, a small adjustment is needed for the mother.  The mother (parent displayed vertically) is HOMO-zygous for not having the disease, hence she has alleles AA.  

Since both parents are homo-zygous, all offsprings are heterozygous for the disease.  Since sickle cell disease is recessive, it will need both copies of the mutated allele to have the disorder.  Therefore all their offsprings will not express the disorder (phenotype, no disease), but all are carriers (genotype Aa).
