Evaluate the extent to which the French and Indian War was a turning point in American History.

Respuesta :

The French and Indian War changed a lot of things and made a lot of things happen. It disposed of the French and land was ceded to to the British because of their victory. Land was taken from the Indians because of their big part in the war and cause the Indians to feel even more violated. The British gained control over chunks of land in Canada specifically Ontario and Montreal. The French also evacuated to Canada but were given freedom to practice their Catholic ways. The French over there in Canada then held no animosity towards the British, but the French in France were waiting for a chance to stab Britain in the back. So with France out of the way Britain now controlled a huge portion of land. The war also caused the war between Britain and America to take place. Now with France waiting for its revenge, they played a big part in helping America gain its Independence and become free from Great Britain. The French and Indian War cause a big turning point in American history.
