Let’s start by making the denominator the same first.
1/4, we multiply it by 3 to give us 12 since it’s a common multiple of both 4,3 and 12.So, we will multiply 3 on both sides(numerator and denominator)which we will get 3/12.
1/3 will be multiplied by 4.(with the same reason as the top).1/3=4/12
We will keep 11/12 the same as they all already have the same denominator.
11/12+4/12+3/12=18/12
In it’s simplest form would be 1 6/12
But,1 6/12 is still not in its simplest form.
So, we’ll divide it by 2 since it’s multiples of 2
Which we will get 1 1/2.
