The ratio of Julia’s peas to Vlada’s peas was 3:2. After Julia gave 15 peas to Vlada, she still had 10 more peas than Vlada. How many peas did Julia have to start with?

2. Vlada had how many peas?
3. Vlada had 4:2 peas after Julia gave her 15 more peas. (3:2+15=4:2)
4. Julia still had 15 more than Vlada.
5. Julia had 5:7 because (4:2+15=5:7)
6. To find out the amount of peas she had BEFORE she gave Vlada the peas, you subtract 5:7 from 15. That would equal 4:2.
