He wanted one reform and that is that the Church would not insist that he keep His vow to God and remain celibate. The Church does not allow one to break their vows to God and remain a priest. He eventually married a nun which caused her to break her vows as well.

Answer: One of his main arguments was against the enforced celibacy of religious people. Another thing was doctrine for him the Catholic church undermined Paul’s teaching that salvation is a gift from God and that God gives righteousness to a person simply on account of his faith in Christ. Luther also wanted a change in leadership since any doctrinal reform would only be successful if the popes could be restrained and the papacy abolished.
