The Kennedy High School talent show began with 16-year-old Mark Garrett playing jazz on the piano. The second act was a pair of gymnasts who performed remarkable acrobatics to rap music. They were followed by several bands, a skilled magician, and an amusing stand-up comic.

Which sentence would logically come next to complete the sequence of events in this paragraph?
A. Violinist Andrea Brudvik brought the audience to their feet.
B. The final performance was Maribel Vegas, who sang an aria from Aida.
C. During the intermission, student journalists interviewed audience members about their favorite acts.
D. From this point, the audience enjoyed listening to two rap artists who came between the magician and the comedian.
I think it is B, am I right? please explain

Respuesta :

Yes you are also correct on it being B. because as you can see in the paragraph, it is listing the chronological order of the talent show acts from first to last. It would make sense for the paragraph to end with the final act which is option B. Hope I helped!
Yupp i think its B too. It wouldn't be A or B, because they were talking about the order the students came out. Therefore, A and C are off topic, and it wouldn't be D either because why would they talk about something out of order, when they are listing or talking about the order of the talent show? That just defeats the wole purpose of the paragraph.
