Risk factors for pospartum infection include history of diabetes, labor over 24 hours, hemoglobin less than 10.5 mg/dL, prolonged rupture of membranes (more than 24 hours), and manual extraction of the placenta. Therefore for nurse reviewing the medical history for such a patient, will identify the risk based on History of diabetes, Hemoglobin level 10 mg/dL and manual extraction of placenta.
