Lab: Making a Cladogram
For this activity, you and your partner will build a cladogram from a set of organisms. Once completed, the cladogram will be presented and you will explain your hypothesis for how the organisms are related. The format you choose is up to you. The organism options provided are in a word document so that they may be cut and pasted, printed or you may choose to draw them. The format for presenting your cladogram is up to you.
Directions
1. The organisms - Animal
2. Begin by placing the organisms in order by asking, "Which is not like the other?"
3. Once you have them in the order you want, draw your cladogram and place the organisms on the appropriate clade.
4. Write 3 questions that require other students to use your cladogram to answer along with an answer key.
5. Make certain ALL group members' names are written clearly on all documents.
