Polytheistic society means: the worship or belief in multiple deities, which are usually assembled in a pantheon of Gods or Goddesses, along with their own religions and rituals. 

which also sums up Ancient Egypt for there Gods like Horus. Some even say Egypt was the first religion and that many religions today all came from Egypt's.
