Ideally and biologically, the relationship between the food we eat and energy in the body is inversely correlational.
As the body consumes and breaks down/ metabolises energy we crave for food to fill our body with the amount of energy we need however, eating disorders and body weight disfiguration has reassembled our way of thought with the correlation between the two. There are many biopsychological theories that can help explain a plain cephalic to fasting phase and others we are compromised by other biological, psychological and social factors.

The set-point assumptions theory and the incentive theory of motivation.
