Answer – Benjamin Rush
Benjamin rush was a leading physician of the time; in 1786,
he established the first free clinic in the United States. He also worked for
social reform and was instrumental to the founding the first American
antislavery society. Dr. Rush was one of the signers of the declaration of
independence on August 2, 1776.
