A pie chart organizes information depending on what your asking.
For instance,
there are 100 people living in an area.
The question is, what percentage of those people own a cat, dog, bird, fish, and other.
After gathering the results, it seems that,
30% have dogs
25% have cats
15% have birds
10% have fishes
20% have other pets
These results are what were given. And if u put this in a pie chart, you can see that most of those 100 people own dogs while least amount of people own fish. Also, if u add up all the percentages, it makes 100% which is anyways mandatory when making a pie chart, so always count them.
