“Choice: A Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.” by Alice Walker was about the choices made by the people who lived in the south. Many who were forced away from the south in order to be able to live. This was not a choice for many people, but Martin Luther King, Jr. showed that there is always a choice, when he showed resistance when he was arrested that was his choice. With this act, he showed people that there is a choice and they do not have to live with the pain that they once. The choice that Martin Luther King, Jr. made gave many people back their heritage, land and a place to call home.
