Emotion: originates in the lower-functioning limbic system, or, old brain in humans. Emotions, or, 'feelings', contrary to popular opinion, do not originate in the cardiac region, or, heart. Adrenaline, is sent into the bloodstream during the onset of some emotions, and so, we feel certain physical sensations in that area.
