Basically, the immune system comprises of the following:

  • White blood cells.
  • Organs of the lymph system.
  • Tissues of the lymph system.

According to human anatomy, there are more lymphoid tissues in children than there are in adults.

In conclusion, the immune system of children have more lymphoid tissues than those of adults.
