India gains independence in the year 1947 from its colonial master Great Britain, but this independence process led to the partitioned between Indian and Pakistan.
Two territories were divided based on religion, Muslim was given east and west Pakistan where Muslims majority people live and India remains secular where Hindu and Muslims both can live.
This partitioned led to the Bengal riots where thousands of people killed in the communal violence.
