Islam is a religion and Muslims are the people who follow Islam.
For example, Christianity is a religion but the people who follow it are called Christians.

According to Muslims (the Islamic people), God senta number of prophets to mankind to teach them how to live according to his law. Jesus, Moses and Abraham are respected as prophets of God.
