Well first of all, if you're talking about everything in life, most people rely on animals for food. Meat, dairy, etc. Animals also are important to the entertainment industry because we wouldn't have things such as amusement parks or zoos, or television shows dedicated to them if they weren't a part of it. They give the best company as companions. Lastly, humans would pretty much be naught without the existence of animals.
