im going to guess -3. my math kinda got messed up half way through... anybody else... please correct me and explain if ur answer is actually corecct if im wrong
The limits at the vicinity of 3 is as follows:

Lim x->3-  means approaching 3 from the left (but not AT 3), so the value is -1 at the end of the slanting line.
Limit x->3 means f(3), or the function evaluated at 3, which is +7 (the dark dot)
Limit x->3+ means approaching 3 from the right, so the value is -3, at the left end of the horizontal line.

The answer required is lim x->3+ f(x).

Note that when the limits of 3-, 3, and 3+ differ, the function is NOT continuous at the point x=3, as is obvious from the graph.
