A bag contains 3 blue marbles and 2 green marbles. What is the probability of drawing a blue marble followed by a green marble, without replacing the first marble?

Respuesta :

50% because when you take out the first marble witch is probably blue since there are more blue you would have 2 blue and 2 green so the chance would be 50%

Hello!

First of all, we have the probability of getting a blue marble, 3/5. If we were to get one, we would only have 4 left. Therefore we would have 2/4, or 1/2 chance of selecting a green marble.

We multiply our probabilities.

3/4(1/2)=3/8

Therefore, there is a 3/8 or about a 36% chance.

I hope this helps!
