The photosynthesis is a process in which the plant produces glucose ([tex]C_{6}H_{12}O_{6}[/tex]) from carbon dioxide and water. The reaction process passed through a number of steps in the plant in presence of chlorophyll. The reaction cannot happen in laboratory. Here the oxygen atom is reduced from (-2) state in water to (0) in oxygen molecule. On the other hand the carbon atom of carbon di oxide is oxidized from (+4) to zero (0) in glucose.
