For example #2 find b (which is -4) go to the y-intercept 0,-4 and mark a point. Then find mx (or the slope) 3x. From the point 0,-4 translate another point 3 up and 1 to the right (because 3x is 3/1), then connect the points.

ok so when graphing slopes like these you have a simple formula for it which is y=mx+b where m is your slope and b is your y intercept. simply start your line at the y intercept on the y axis which is the main line going up and down. from there your are going to use your slope to do rise over run. the numerator(top #) being how many you rise while the denominator (bottom #) determines how many you will move right unless it's a negative in the SLOPE.
