There are many activities used to support and enhance language development in kindergarten, and they are fun! such as:
- Word games. (Scrabble, Pictionary, Charades)
- Jokes. (they will help foster good humour and creativity in children)
- Riddles. (It is a fun way to use words and children will have to think too)
- Rhymes.( the repetitive chanting, promotes good listening skills)
- Homonyms.( with words that sound the same but have different meanings, children enhance their vocabulary)
- Storytelling.( provide a good bonding, communication skills, broaden the imagination)
- Songs. (easy to remember, good listening skill)
- Tongue twisters (correct pronuncation and enunciation)
