“To Kill a Mockingbird”is written by Harper Lee. It is a story about Jem and Scout , two children living with their father Atticus, a lawyer,  in Maycomb during the Great Depression.  Atticus has to defend a black man Tom Robinson in court because they accused him of raping a white woman.

There was a real winter in Maycomb after years and the children did not like the way Mr. Avery was talking about their family.
