All living things are made of one or more cells. Here are two types of cells: an animal cell and a plant cell. Explain why an animal cells does not have the organelle called the chloroplast but the plant cell does.
A) Plants do not move but animals do move. Because plants do not move they need the chloroplast for protection.
B) Animals are consumers; plants are producers. Plants make food, glucose, through photosynthesis in the chloroplast.
C) Animals respire; plants do not respire. Instead plants undergo photosynthesis to stay alive and for this they use the chloroplast.
D) Animal cells do not have large vacuoles; plants cells do have large vacuoles. The chloroplast helps regulate the water that moves in and out of the vacuole.

The answer is C. Chloroplast is basically what plants use to make start photosynthesis and that of course uses light help make their energy. We on the other hand use food to get energy.
