Question - Explain why there is a difference between the time it takes for the moon to orbit earth and the length of the lunar month.
Answer/Why: So for the moon to orbit the earth is approximately 27.3 days. Since earth has a orbital around the sun, moon hasn't finished its own cycle until the point where the orbit is at the same position with the sun.
