A cloned plant has a diploid chromosome nunber of 12. What is the diploid chromosome number of the plant cell that was used to produce the cloned plant?

Respuesta :

A cloned plant is a genetically identical copy of the parent plant.  The cloned plant, therefore, will have the same number of chromosomes as the parent plant.  In this case, both the parent plant and the cloned plant will have a diploid chromosome number of 12.
