Advertisements are filled with images of extremely fit and sometimes even underweight people. What is an example of how these images might positively influence a person’s health choices?

A) Choosing to use weight loss supplements to increase weight loss
B) Electing to skip meals to reduce calorie intake until target weight is met
C) Figuring out ways to purge after meals to reduce the number of calories consumed
D) Finding ways to increase physical activity to burn calories and increase heart weight

Respuesta :

The correct answer is D.

Somebody who is seen as extremely fit is associated with being healthy as well. An advertisement featuring a fit and healthy person may inspire many to change their lifestyles and health choices. In order to become fit, a physical activity is necessary. A fit person displays a well toned body with a healthy muscle mass and no excess fat.

A fit person seen in an advert is fit because this person moves his/her body. Their image in the ad would probably be related to a physical activity ( jogging, working out, swimming).  The viewer of this ad would be made to realize  that the only way to achieve this image is to move his/her body regularly.

All the fit people in the ads do not have their fit body as the results of taking weight loss supplements, purging after or skipping meals. These health harming activities are not even mentioned. The goal of an ad portraying fit people is to convince the unfit ones that they have to increase their own physical activity, that way, they burn more calories and increase their heart rate, which in turn contributes to their weight loss and becoming fit and healthy.
