What is false concerning the line containing the points (4,3) and (-2, -6)?

A.)It has a slope greater than its x-intercept.

B.)It is parallel to y= 32x+10

C.)It contains the point (1, -3/2)

D.)It has a y-intercept of -3.

Please help I will make brainiest!!!

Respuesta :

So, first step is to find the y=mx+b equation.

First we find the slope. Slope is equal to change in y divided by change in x.

3 - -2 = 3 + 2 = 5 = 1

4 - -6 = 4 + 6 = 10 = 2

So our slope is 1/2, or .5 y=.5x+b

Now we plug a point in to our new equation to find B.

-6 = .5*-2 + b

-6 = -1 + b

b = -5

So, D is wrong because the y-intercept is -5 ^_^ Hope I helped!
