Eisenhower sent in federal troops to Arkansas Central HS because governor Orville Faubus tried to block the admittance of nine black students (Little Rock Nine) in accordance with the Brown Vs Board desegregation decision. Large angry mobs threatened violence and even death threats causing Ike to react with the national guard.
