The correct answer is TRUE.

Even though the American Civil War (1861 - 1865) has no comparison with 20th century's wars, it has been called THE FIRST MODERN WAR because of the impact of weapons and new technology used. For example, as regards weapons, we could mention the use of rifled muskets and the minié balls.
