You have a friend who has a strong online presence, and really seems to flourish when interacting with people over the Internet. However, there is also a negative aspect to his behavior—he sometimes says things he should not, and speaks poorly about his boss, his job, certain family members, and some of his friends. He makes extremely tasteless and inappropriate jokes, including some that border on violence. He ensures you that you have nothing to worry about, because he only posts controversial content anonymously. What should you tell him about posting “anonymously” and digital privacy?

Answer:

I would tell him that it is not good to be posting things anonymously, because it causes very negative behavior, and it allows to to hide behind their cellphone screen; almost as like a shield from the real word. I would try to have him engage with people face to face! Some people tend to put on a fake persona online because nobody can actually see that, and most of the time it is because they are unhappy, make sure that they are doing well mentally!
