Answer:

England tried to colonize Americas after eighteenth century. In the sixteenth and seventeenth century they lagged behind, but in the eighteenth century they outpaced others by encouraging migration and establishing colonies. The people were sent to populate the new land. The reason for England encouraging the migrations was that population of England had increased dramatically in sixteenth century, and the colonies were and escape from the poverty and overcrowding at home.  Migrants arrived in Maryland for working in tobacco fields. The puritans migrated to get a place where they can live as per the demands of their scriptures and  established the Plymouth, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Haven and Massachusetts Bay colonies.
