When I had laid it on the floor

I went to blow the fire a-flame,

But something rustled on the floor,

And someone called me by my name:

It had become a glimmering girl

With apple blossom in her hair

Who called me by my name and ran

And faded through the brightening air.

William Butler Yeats

Explain what you visualized and what you imagined from the sense imagery language, while reading this stanza of the poem.

Respuesta :

To me it feels like, this person (the one speaking) went to blow out a fire, than a ghost of a girl appeared right after she did, although it might be someone she (The ghost) once knew, because this girl called the narrator by name. If you think closely about it this girl could also be trying To lead the speaker, somewhere..

I don't fully know,

Sorry if this wasn't what you were looking for,

  -hope this helps-

Answer:

I see a man in a forest trying to start a fire. He is startled by a rustling sound and turns as he hears his name. He is surprised to see a girl wearing apple blossoms. She calls his name and vanishes.
