Answer:

Explanation:

There were many lasting impacts from the Civil War. As the South lost, its plantation economy with slave labor was abolished. The winning North, with its industrialized economy flourished. As more industries were developed, labor shortage caused automation by machines.

It also led to expansion of cities with large population to support businesses and factories; mostly in the North.  Work opportunities raised the living standards. An unintended effect is a gap in equality between the rich and the poor -  wealthy business owners can afford the higher cost of living in cities while the poor operated and worked in factories.

The South struggled after the war and fell behind in growth and development. With no slave labor, its agriculture economy struggled. Invention of railroads allowed goods to be transported faster and cheaper helped. New industries slowly developed and provided job opportunities.

Answer:

Explanation:

the most lasting impact of the Civil War is of course freeing of all slaves. unfortunately it did not mean equality for the freed slaves. that took much longer and one may argue it is still taking place now.

other impacts included reform of southern states. losing the Civil War forced the southern states to change. their economies, their populations and of course their laws had to change. in most cases, those changes were for the good of them.
