I believe that the statement about reading biographies that is true is that if you want to get a totally unbiased picture of someone's life, you should read a biography written by a historian or if you want to get a truer picture of someone's life, you should read a variety of biographies about that person. 
I'm not sure which answer I would choose though, one of these two.
